There was also that wonderful sense of pride of accomplishment as well as the whole working-together family experience. I started cooking when I was age seven. I took to it like a duck to water. I poured over my mother’s various books, learning all I could. Eventually, I would tell my mother to go and sit with dad, relax, listen to some classical music, and I’d do the cooking for her. I ended up working in restaurants and eventually becoming a Chef working with the best supplies. One of my sons became a Chef as well, and another can cook at the chef’s level. Both are known by friends and family as pizza masters for the amazing pizzas they produce. All of us are creative by nature. Most of us would never be great artists or musicians; but we all can be wonderfully creative when it comes to cooking. I’ve had employees and interns who would swear they could never do what I did.
